Before comparing quotations, ask the seller to identify the exact vehicle or trailer being offered. Model-family photos and general specifications are useful starting points, but they do not establish the condition or availability of an individual unit.

1. Match the vehicle to the job

State the intended application, route, payload target, trailer type, destination country and quantity. Confirm the exact drivetrain or axle layout, body design and any locally required configuration from the unit’s documents.

2. Request unit-level evidence

  • Manufacturing year, VIN or chassis number, and odometer reading
  • Recent walkaround photos and a cold-start or operating video where appropriate
  • Inspection report, maintenance records, known defects and repair history
  • Engine, transmission, emissions and installed-equipment details supported by records
  • Current location and written confirmation that the unit is still available

3. Compare the commercial terms

Ask for a written quotation that identifies the unit, currency, delivery basis, loading or port arrangements, estimated timeline and which export documents are included. Confirm payment milestones through the agreed company channel and make sure the documents identify the same vehicle.

4. Confirm destination requirements

Check import eligibility, emissions rules, registration requirements, road dimensions, axle limits and any inspection or homologation obligations with the competent authority or your local customs broker. Requirements depend on the destination and vehicle details.

Questions to send with your inquiry

  • Which vehicle type and configuration do you need?
  • What destination country, quantity and target delivery period should be considered?
  • Would you like a current stock list, inspection evidence or a shipping quotation?

Ask for written confirmation of the specific unit and terms before making payment or transport arrangements.
